I would love to hear from people what their predictions are and what they think of mine.

I have officially seen both the old and new versions of True GritI really enjoyed both of the films.  I was really surprised by how much I liked the older version.  Even though I am a huge fan of all things Western, I am not a big fan of John Wayne.  I find that his movies are usually slow, with little action.  Also, I think John Wayne shows very little grit compared to other Western stars, such as Clint Eastwood.  I thought that John Wayne did a great job in the movie and really showed how tough he could be.  My one problem with the old True Grit, was the actor that played La Boeuf. I thought that Glen Campbell ruined the part.  On the other hand, Matt Damon in the new True Grit did a great job of bringing the character of La Boeuf to life.  I also felt that John Wayne and Jeff Bridges showed that they both had true grit.  On the question of which one was grittier, I think they were both stellar films, but the new one was just a little bit better than the old one because it had some better acting on Matt Damon’s part.

Top Ten Movies of 2010

These films are my favorite films of 2010. The movies are listed from worst;10, to best;1. Even though i say worst, it does not mean it was bad. Every film on this list deserves to be here and is the true cream of the crop. I would recommend seeing all of the movies on this list.

10: Toy Story 3

9: Date Night

8: Avatar

7: Resident Evil: Afterlife

6: Expendables

5: Despicable Me

4: True Grit

3: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1

2: Kick-Ass

1: Machete

I have spent some quality time with the game Battlefield: Bad Company  2. It was hard to take a break from Black Ops, but it was worth it.  It was a little jarring at first, but I got used to the style of fighting. Unlike other shooters, such as the Call of Duty games, Bad Company 2 relies on a more tactical way of fighting due to the fact that you have squads that you must work with to complete objectives. Also, the fact that everything is destructible and the ability to use vehicles, forces you to chang your tactics, when the building you are hiding behind gets blown up by a tank. I really enjoy the size of each map. To put it simply, the maps are insanely huge. It is finally a game where you actually feel like you are a real sniper, when you make a headshot from a mile away. The graphics also add a sense of realism to it all. My only problem is that vehicles are hard to use. I also find that the people who play the game are much more polite than in other games.  The game contains some very bad language, so this game is not for children. I give the game 5 stars ou of 5.

Machete Makes the Final Cut

I went to go see the film Machete, by Robert Rodriguez.  Even though the film bombed at the box office, I thought it was one of the best films i have ever seen.  My dad and I couldn’t stop laughing. The movie was so over the top, violent, and cheesy, that it was funny in a sick way. This film is definitely not for everyone. I only liked it because I have always been a fan of other Rodriguez films such as Desperado and Planet Terror.  If you enjoyed either of those movies, than you are sure to love Machete.  A word of warning. This film contains many insanely gruesome scenes. There is also several scenes of nudity. Besides that, there are a bunch of actors, such as Danny Trejo, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Robert DeNiro, Cheech Marin, and even Steven Segal.  If you are in the mood for some light-hearted, gory, fun, than go see Machete.

True Grit Proves it’s Grit.

I recently saw the film True Grit by the Coen brothers.  In my opinion, this is probably the best Western movie that I have ever seen.  The film is about a girl, whose dad is murdered, so she hires a U.S. Marshall, played by Jeff Bridges, to go after the man.  If you are in the mood for a western, or just a great movie, go see it.  But be warned! Even though the film is rated PG-13, it is definitely not for children.  The movie has several extremely gory and violent scenes that deserve an R rating in my book.  DO not let the violence dissuade you from seeing the film.  It is a must see. I give it 5 stars out of 5.

I have always been a fan of the Call of Duty franchise.  I love games such as Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops.  I have no complaint about the games they have been putting out. My problem lies with Activision‘s public image.  Most of my friends think that Activision is an evil company beant on ruling the game world. I think that Activision went too far with the Infinity  Ward debacle. I think Activision must reinvent their public image.  They need to do what EA did by signing smaller companies and giving them creative control.  Until this happens, I will think of Activision as the bad company and not as the one from the past that made great games.
